This is a burger I made in Adobe Illustrator, completely from scratch. After using/learning the basics of Adobe Photoshop, I have now gotten to look further into its counterpart, Adobe Illustrator. Although I haven't gotten as much experience with Illustrator, there were many things I noticed immediately. Adobe Illustrator instantly appealed to me in many ways. The first thing I noticed was the simple organization and how a lot of what you need is listed under the Windows tab. I also noticed minor details, like how you can edit parts/layers without having to press ctrl+t like in Photoshop. It's also easier to create basic shapes/images from scratch on Illustrator, considering the Shape and Pen Tools, as well as the tools that expand on them, allowing you to create and configure shapes effectively. Tools such as Arrange and the Shape Builder Tool allow you to easily compose your image they way you like, and hide/delete certain parts. There are also amazing coloring options, seen with the Gradient and Mesh Tools, which allow you to be very specific with your highlights and color choices. A struggle in Illustrator was making specific lines/highlights. Illustrator uses many linear/basic lines and it's hard getting into detail when making specific highlights and shapes. For example, when using the Mesh Tool, it is hard to have control over your highlights. They're unpredictable and often have straight edges that don't blend in. Another example is with the Pen Tool; it's hard to make specific shapes when you are basically connecting points. I could see Adobe Illustrator being used in the game development cycle since it is great for creating basic shapes. It is also great for creating specific highlights. I think Illustrator could be used to create original images/shapes as to where Photoshop could then be used to edit them and put in more detail. Conclusion:
